Wir starten heute in unsere 54. Challenge mit dem Thema:
Today is the start of our 54th challenge:
"National Beach Day"
Haltet die Stände sauber. Schützt die Umwelt.
Daran appelliert seit 2014 der Nationale Strand-Tag am 30. August.
Sommer ist Strandzeit. Dementsprechend pilgern die Massen während dieser Monate an die sandigen Küstenabschnitte dieser Welt und wo viele Menschen sind, entsteht leider auch viel Müll bzw. Abfall.
Immerhin gibt es hier nicht nur Muscheln, Steine und Sand, sondern die sandigen Küstenabschnitte bilden zugleich auch den Lebensraum für viele Tiere und Pflanzen. Insofern dürfte die Botschaft dieses Aktionstages relativ klar sein!!
Keep the stands clean. Save the environment.
Since 2014, the National Beach Day on August 30 has appealed to this.
Summer is beach time. Accordingly, during these months, the masses make a pilgrimage to the sandy coasts of this world
and where there are many people, there is unfortunately also a lot of garbage or waste.

Seit 1989 findet der US-amerikanische Tag des Leuchtturms immer am 7. August statt.
Grund genug, diesen Ehrentag für das wohl älteste verkehrsregelnde Zeichen der Menschheitsgeschichte zu würdigen.
Dieser Ehrentag soll dazu genutzt werden, der Bevölkerung des Landes sowohl die Aufgabe und historische Bedeutung
der Leuchttürme näherzubringen. Ferner sind alle Leuchtturmanlagen an diesem Tag dazu aufgerufen,
ihre Gelände – soweit möglich – der Öffentlichkeit zugänglich zu machen.
